I know, but these were free since I already had them! Its not a max effort 1/4 mile car anyway. Mostly a daily driver that I wanted to be a little quicker thats why i put in the mild stall converter too. I may look for some used skinnies to run when I go to the track though. The full size front tires are def heavy. I know in the fall it's got a 12.5x in it.

Congrats on the new times.
Before my 3600 Circle D converter my best run was 13.3 with a 2.0 60ft. after the install i hit 12.60 with a 1.6 60ft and still maintain around 20 mpg

Sounds good! Great results, especially considering the price. Any updates on it, like how your mileage has been?

What gears are you running, stock 3.23's?

Is this the re-stalled Trailblazer converter I read about in a different post? I'm really liking what I've been reading about it, I think I'm going to go this route eventually.

hey kitchen whats up man. its darren. im still in the sand box right now. last time i saw you was at the RFP exactly a year ago. Anyway, just curious, u have a ceta bird now? What happened too the black beast you had? As i recall, the black one was a manual, how do you like the auto vs. the 6 speed? I ran a 12.74 when i did my 3.90s, and im getting a yank 3600 to put in when i get home along with a line-lock too smoke those MT DRs when i go. Anyway, hit me back and congrats on the time. Say a prayer for me at the ride and hope to see you in 09, be home before new years!

Correct, this is the 11" 278MM TB I6 converter. I rebuild them to Circle D Specs. They are stronger and higher stall. A great converter for the DD.

Thanks for the info, it sounds like the converter for me. I've read about it in a few posts now and it seems like a great piece.

Would you recommened it with 2.73's, or would I also need a gear swap?

my car has almost 155k on it.. would it be wise to replace the flexplate as well while I have the transmission out?? or should I leave it alone?

I do know I need to have the rear main seal replaced..

I think the 99 and 2000 flexplates are the weaker ones, probably a good idea to upgrade. Are you doing a rebuild on the trans as well?

not if I can help it.. it runs like a top right now.. I'll probably put in a corvette servo,a .490 boost valve and Transgo shift kit.. but unless something comes up thats all I plan on doing.
