Default Help me pick a converter for the new combo :)

Ok well I have decided on a speed inc. stage 3 4L60-E....now for the converter...I have T.E.A. S2 5.3 liter head's, 228/228 .588"/.588" 112 XE-R cam,3.42 gear's,lid,pullies,longtubes,3" x pipe ect...the car weighs about 3500 with me in it im guessing...for the combo stated above i am thinking YPT 4000 stall...BUT I am gunna be spraying a 150 shot pretty often and it's my daily driver so i dont know....i dont want the car to be a dog on the motor and a beast on spray...i want the car to be a beast on motor and insane on spray! lol...Any suggestins are appreaciated..Thank's,

call up Derek @ TCS, he can build you a converter specific to your application and just let him know that you want it "a beast on motor and insane on spray!" and he will set you up.

3800 - 4000 stall will be fine. With the spray a Yank SS3800 would be better than a YTP.

Derek at TCS could make you a converter with a NA shift extension in the 5200 range that would do well too.

I have a PT4200 on my heads/cam car and I wouldn't want to use any nitrous with it. My shift extention speeds are 5900 RPM right now. I think the 4200 is too big for nitrous.

Yes 5900 rpm shift extentions are way too high for nitrous but derek can build you a 4000 stall with a 5200-5300 shift extention for the motor that will run nicely on the motor and really pull hard on the spray.

That is what im going to try in the next few months with a 100-150 shot on the Z. Looking for deep 10s
