4l60e tech questions?

4l60e tech questions? Have a 64 chevy nova wagon and a 63 2 dr hardtop. I am planning on installing a LS1 into the wagon first to build a nasty sleeper with a 4l60e so that I can leave the bench seat. I will leave the 6 speed for my 2dr. Anyways how expensive is it to build a 4l60e to handle heads, cam and possibly ls6 intake? Another trannys that would be easier to build that still have overdrive? THANKS
i would suggest you just buy a trans 4l60e from us or any sponsor here as a better idea

Not sure exactly on the weight of the car. The curb weight from the factory was around 2950-3000lbs. However the tci front suspension clip that I have installed is suposed to drop 150 lbs off of the front end. THe other factor is that the original curb weight was with a powerglide and a straight six. So I am guessing it should be between 2900 and 3000 just becuase of how light these aluminum block ls1's are compared to a straight six or even a cast iron v-8.
As far as hp....I am shooting to have the car at least in the twelves if not high elevens. Dont want anything faster then 11.49 or I will have to have a cage. Not sure what kinda hp that means though. I am guessing 400 at the wheels?
