TH350 swap...what does it involve
I am taking out my 4l60e for a built th350 but what all is involved? I know I need a driveshaft since its not a longtail, a shifter, converter, remove abs, and I heard something about the torque arm being an issue? Can someone eloborate more on what is needed for the complete swap..BTW the built 4l60 w/ converter is for sale...

On my car I used the front wheel abs sensor for a speedo killing my abs, so if you remove the abs it will just free up your engine bay. The trans also doesn't have a torque arm mount so I just use a UMI adjustable body mount torque arm which any body mount torque arm will work. I also used the stock shifter but I can see where an aftermarket can be handy since in the spur of the moment shifing to far on your 1-2 shift putting it into 3rd on a RMVB is pretty easy mistake to make. As for the converter I have a 3000 stall in mine which seems about right since you won't have lockup and a higher stall will kill your gas mileage just that much more unless your a strip only car. But you will need a different stall to match everything up but the maker of the stall will get you setup on that with no problems as long as you tell them your application. Also I got a good deal from Eric at Midwest chasis on a driveshaft for my th400 and i'm sure he could get you setup on one for your th350. He has a great deal on a very good chromemoly shaft.
