rear end was driving and heard a loud noise at the back of my car. when i stopped at the stop sign my car would'nt move. i then moved my car off the street and the rear end was leaking. when i put it in drive it does'nt move and when its in reverse and makes a loud grinding noise. is there anyway i can rebuild the rear end and what parts do i have to change.
It would probably be cheaper to go to the junk yard and pick up another 10 bolt as a complete assembly. That's what I did a few years ago when mine finally broke.
You'll have to open it up to tell the extent of the damage in order to decide what all needs replacing if you do go that route.

I agree it would be cheaper to find a stock 10 bolt at a junkyard. There's no real reason to put money into a 10 bolt. If you have the money upgrade to a 12 bolt/9 inch....if not go find another stocker
