1997 4L80e to 2001 6.0l? This has probably been addressed before but I can't seem to find an answer through the search tab. Will an older 80e bolt to an iron 6.0l without any problems?
A local man has one for sale out of a 1997 Suburban for cheap and I need a core. I'm pretty sure that the bolt patterns are the same but I'm not 100% positive. Any unknown expenses or should I look for a slightly newer core?

It will bolt up, the pattern might not be identical, but all but one or 2 holes will line up. It may be a perfect fit, I'm not 100% when they changed the bolt pattern. Does it have a bolt hole @ 12:00 on the bell housing? If so it will be an identical match.
