Exclamation 4l60e to 700r4

I'm recently just blew my 4l60e, and I found a 700r4. So does it just bolt right in? Or what all do I have to do to get it to work?

You would need a way to control lockup and you would need a 93 throttle body to hook the tv cable, You would be better off getting the correct trans for your car

got a 700r in my 95. you could fab up a bracket for the tv cable or do like me full manual valve body, as far as lock up you can buy a switch that you control yourself easy to hook up, you also need the tail shaft off your 4l60e. Other than that its a straight swap not hard it does away with the electrical on the trans. \so if the price is to good to pass up it can be done but other wise I would stick with what perform said (4l60e). I did my swap cause my trans was tost and already had a 700r4 built from another car waiting for a home.

i found one for cheap, but i think I'm just going to get another 4l60e from the same guy. Just to be sure theirs no difference between the 94's and 97's 4l60e right?

Yes unfortunatley you can only use a 94 without modification for the PWM lockup used in the 95 up units
