Default Powerglide no Reverse

I have a new Powerglide that has been sittinng for a year but finally got the motor running. It works fine except its not going into reverse. We even got under the car to make sure it wasn't the shifter and it wasn't. What can I check? Btw the fluid is full.

Well I havent tried it, but my mechanic told me I needed to activate transbrake so I could use reverse, I havent installed my PG but that's what I was told. Were you able to solve your problem?

Yes if it's a pro brake (likely is), put it in reverse and push the TB button to engage reverse. It's very common and you'll get used to it.

I can't tell you how to wire it but mine has a toggle I flip to get reverse to engage without using the T brake button. It is a ton easier when Im twisted around trying to back my car up to my trailer at the track.
