I need some help trouble shooting my Trans. My trans shifts really hard when it is under a load. It doesnt do it all the time unless I am pulling something. It shifts so hard it shakes my truck. It doesn't do it shifting into every gear. I was told it could be a selinoid. If so how hard is it to replace?

Is trans stock, Built, Had a shift kit? Do you have and SES or check engine light ?

 

the trans is stock and i dont have a check engine light or anything else.

 

How long have you had this problem?

Performabuilt: Could it be one of the computers controling the line pressure? I got the vaccum mod on my tranny because the tranny CPUs would do crazy things with the line pressure.

 

Its certainly possible however that would only point to and engine control or sensor issue that would need to be corrected for the car to run right in general also
