Default Best "built" 4L60

I have had the worst luck with trannies, stock tranny lasted almost 30K miles with a vig 3200, but since it went out last year, I have been through 5 "built" 4l60's(from 2 different, VERY reputable and well known companies) all of them failed for different reasons(3-4 clutches/drum/planetaries/ect)

I need help!!!!!

Has anyone ever dealt with or have any info on: http://www.fearthemonster.com/transm...eavyduty/4l60/

price is right(I can't afford another high priced one that is only going to fail within a few thousand miles)Need opinions if you think this would hold up to a heads/cam car that only sees the track a few times a year?

Thanx in advance!!!!

I though www.netgearhead.com has a good reputation in building stout 4L60Es

Wow, the price is definitely right... Never heard of them before, though.. Feel like being a guinea pig?

Your signature doesn't say where you are located but Rossler transmissions out of Ohio and Century transmissions out of Texas both have great reputations but they are expensive, then again you get what you pay for. There are several others here in Dallas that have good reputations also.

A lot of friends of mine have used Mike @ Century, with about the same success rate as other "pro built" claimers.. Some good, some bad.. I personally use a local builder nobody really knows of (except in the Ford world, where he's pretty well known at least around here). He put together my GF's transmission, along with a few other buddies. So far not one has failed. He charges based on what you need. He doesn't believe in the "Stage X" transmissions -- he prefers to build it to your setup and your preferences, so you'll be happy and never come back. So far so good on that ZAngel (H/C/NX/Vigi) has about 12k on hers so far, hasn't missed a lick. He's in that 1200 to 1800 range too, which seems cheap at first glance. But heck, sometimes more expensive ISN'T better..

I second netgearhead, I'll be getting my new stage IV from them next week. Excellent customer service and their prices are reasonable.
