4L60 no O/D & reverse. I've got a '92 Custom Cruiser. The other day when I was accelerating I heard a clunk and now it wont go into O/D and there is no reverse. Other than shifting a little higher than normal 1-2 & 2-3 shift with out any slippage and there is no slippage while driving. Putting it in reverse is like putting it in nuetral. The car can be pushed when it is in reverse. I didn't notice any problems prior to this. The car has 51k miles and is stock (for now). I was wondering if it could be a seal blew out or a stuck valve maybe? The fluid looks good smells good.
If I can't figure it out I was planning on putting a '86 (maybe '87) 700r4 from a Z28 in it. I know I'll need to change the tailshaft housing and switch it from mechanical to electrical speedo. Do I need to swap the shaft or can I just remove the plastic gear and put the reluctor on it?
