4l80e rocks well as some of you know I finally got the 4l80e conversion done. I knew it worked good but not sure of the performance part. well I finally got it to the track yesterday and to my surprise I only lost about .1 of a sec but gained about .5 mph -- to say the least I'm excited, it's really been worth it. it was nice to drive back from the track under the cars own power

Ok, the auto trans problems will be solved with this trans. Now it's time to get these motors making a bit more power.

Re: 4l80e rocks the motor makes quite a bit now- but more it better - ha ha . I don't use a aftermarket controller- I have a manual valve body- trans go kit. I shift manually- really easy actually- I thought it would be rough but quite easy

Re: 4l80e rocks the tranny is in my 98 ss. 99taws6 your right- I just figured a number from all the time that I go to the track- it could be more or less- your right.I love it - don't have to worry about braking a trans now.
