Torq Converter Stall
I did a search but nothing really came up. I have a 2000 TA with 2.73s in the rear. What would be a good stall for mostly street and some track use (meaning if I go to the track 3 times a years thats alot)This is also my DD.
I was thinking a 3600-3800 or would a 3200 be good? In the future I plan on changing the rear gears to 3.42s. Figured I would do the vert. first. Brand I am looking at is Yank.
Thanks guys!

I going to change my 2.73's to 3.42's with a Vig. 3200. I do alot of highway driving but it's like they said you need to drive some and figure what is best for you and your driving habits. Also what other futrure mods you may be doing should be taken into consideration also.
My goal is to do the stall and gears, maybe in a few years if I still have the car then a cam etc.. but for the now and 2 years to come just the gears and stall. The converter is used with about 5K on it from a member here. It's a 3200 so was thinking of keeping it or re-stalling it, if I bought one prob 3600 or 3800, however I need to drive my car year round so maybe the higher stall is not a good idea? Sorry new to converters.
Check to see if the stall you are buying still has the free complimentary restall available... also they should be able to increase/decrease what it stalls at while they have it apart...

i would do the gear first or at the same time as the converter to help keep heat down inside the tranny. the 3.42 gear and 34-3600 converter will be a great combo.
i had 3.73 and a 2800 converter. on the highway the converter locks up as if there were no stall and my 3.73 still got 23 mpg with full bolt-ons.

Hmmm, I am going to add a tranny cooler so that should help with the heat right?(didn't want something to overkill so was looking at a 16,000-18K-GVW cooler) I do have a wait4me tune and will send it out to get retuned for the stall, but would have to send it out again to get it tuned for the gears too...
Reason is I can get one kinda cheap so that's why I was going to do the stall first.
