Default what is the role of TCC

Hi,

Any one knows what is the importance of TCC?

What shall I do if I installed a new converter?

Is it okay if I make it get applied after the fourth gear only?

TCC is torque converter clutch. all stock auto transmissions come with it. its built in the converter. you cant see it unless you cut it open. its basically a miniature clutch. its used as a overdrive gear like on the highway. and yes having it lockup in just 4th is fine. most people recommend it. it also helps keep the trans fluid temp lower when its locked up
