Default Help with stock 4l60e mods

I am putting a low mileage 4l60e into a 68 camaro. The motor is a 5.3 with a cam and 100 shot of nitrous. I am looking for the components that will let the trans live for a while. I have a hd-2 kit and was wondering what else would be helpful and somewhat inexpensive because I am on a budget. I also have a ssf3500 that will be installed. I will be doing all the mods with the trans out of the car if that makes a difference.

Thanks for your help!!

Have someone install Alto Red bands and clutch plates, and add a deep pan like the b&m 3-quart one.Thats basically all that is done to my trans and it has survived 75 passes in the mid 10s this season and about 40-50 last year in the mid 11s.A temp gauge helps also .i never make a run if trans temp is over 180 degrees.

Default Not quite what i was looking for

I want the basic mods to help the trans survive until I can save for a new trans. I was thinking of servos, etc.
Thanks

I guess it would depend on what the trans came out of. If it is out of a Fbody then the trans already has a corvette servo in it. It would be a good idea to get updated aluminum accumulator pistons for the forward and the 1-2 accumulator. I like to use torlon check ***** instead of the steel ***** and it might be a good idea to get an updated separator plate. Hope this helps. Vince

Really If you have installed the HD2 and cooler you have done about as much as you can except for replacing the accum pistons like Vince mentioned.
All other mods would require the disassembly of the trans which unless your well versed in autos I do not suggest

Great this was just the info I was looking for. The trans is out of a truck. Do any of you guys have the part #'s for the recommended parts from your websites so when I get around to the trans this winter I can order from one of you guys?
