has yank kicked precision back
mine trapped 117 on the 3600, 224 114 cam, and 3.23's. I see yank4200-4400's trappin 116-117 cam only so they look pretty tick for tat..
alot of the reason for yanks being up top is because guys whom were getting vig3600's skipped over them for the yank4400's. If we had more vig users, maybe you would see better et's and traps up at the top...
i like all 3... vig, yank, TCS... ive just had the vig for a while and havent had a issue yet with her.. knock on wood
maybe they are a little less efficient on top end, but they make up for it off the line
So, are you saying that Vigs 60ft better than any of the more efficient TCS and Yank converters?
So, are you saying that Vigs 60ft better than any of the more efficient TCS and Yank converters?
I have run both, the TCS for only a very short time but as you can see from my sig I do have some track time with the TCS and I am very happy with it, would not go back to the Vig3600 for any reason, but not saying it was a bad converter. I am #22 on the stock internal list right now with the 3600. As soon as I get a roll bar in the car I hope to get higher on the list with the TCS.
when i got my vig is was 600bucks.. the closest yank to that stall was 900bucks
we can sit and debate them all day long, but thats not gonna get us anywhere. All 3 mentioned above are great. Ive heard more and one comment on how well vigs 60. Sure a 4400yank may 60 better, but compare a yank4000 to a vig3600. But hell, driver skill and track prep comes into play there.
Colonel, just dont read to deeply into what im saying above(im not putting anyone down or contradicting you). All 3 are great once again, im just a viggy person LMAO
Its also hard trying to tell what im saying in words on here than in person. We could friendly BS about this all day in person
now if someone gave me a 900 verter to put in there and take my vig out I would be game. Its just not worth the cash. Plus if it didnt do as well i would be very ticked off!
anyone wanna give me a TCS 4200 to try LMAO
if I trapped 117 with the vig cam only, maybe I woulda trapped 118.5 or more with the TCS or yank.. now that would be awesome
This is sort of on topic here I guess. I've heard the ET gains from gear changes in A4 is minimal but there is MPH to be gained possibly. Still trying to decide if it's worth the swap. What were your results with the different gears?
thanks,
Jordan

i just didnt want you to take my words the wrong way. Everyone doesnt know how the typer intends them to be just from readin it

if we dig deep enough we could find issues in every friggin one.. ive had guys rip yanks apart and say they suck, rip vigs apart and say they suck also LMAO... just run whatcha happy with

Pick the specs to fit your goals and don't be afraid to try another brand the next time around if you feel you need a change.
The one thing I will caution people on though is don't expect the world to change over night. A new product line is just that... new. New lines have all the same development issues that the old ones took the heat for before they were able to put them to bed or ended the product. Trust me, I'm working through some of those new growing pains right now.

Which I do have my Vig for sale, and as soon as I sell it I am going with a TCS. But I figured I would tune the car before I actually get rid of the converter.

There are many more factors to think about, its not that cut and dry...
