You're right. It's much more likely to be a conspiracy to kill everyone instead of it actually being a supposedly "heavy duty" suspension part installed on police duty models that ended up being faulty.

if you don't believe me go look it up for yourself; there was an article posted in this section about a lawsuit where GM was trying to say they were not responsible for recalls for the Impalas issues due to it being " an old GM (before the bailout) issue"
