Never seen that before..wow. Maybe something is shorted in the column so when the wipers come on, the washer fluid comes on too.

Mine has been doing the same thing for a couple months now, I ran all the fluid out, but I can hear the motor start spraying every time I use my wipers. I try not to drive the V when it rains, but I still need to get it fixed.

I think I remember someone having this issue and it was the relay. Not 100% sure on that though.

Makes sense if it is powered by the same power source as the wipers.

I am having the exact same problem with mine. It started spraying just a little at first when I turned on the wipers and now it continuously sprays.

Anybody figure out a fix yet?

No fixes yet? I really dont wanna take it to the dealer. I guess I will just keep my music up so I cant hear the motor whining when it rains.

Sounds like it could be a bad switch... unless there's a control module for the wiper system that could be the problem

Unclip the power connector to the washer motor. Problem solved.

Or pull the fuse if it's an isolated fuse... doesn't seem like it would be on the same one as the wipers due to amp size needed.

Did you guys ever fix yours? I bought a V a week ago and apparently my washers are always on with the wipers too.

Well I decided to throw a switch at it with no luck. Anything common I should check?

haha, i posted this almost 2 years ago and still havent fixed it. Whats really annoying is when the wipers stop right in the middle of the windshield. I have to keep hitting the button till they stop in the right place or i turn the car off. Pretty slack on my part but i guess it doesnt bother me enough to fix.

Malfunctions like this in moist any car are ususally the multi function switch. It is possibly a relay, but it would not be a fuse.

Has anyone found the solution for this. My wipers work like they should but if you just push the button for the washer it will spray, wipers come on but won't go off until you turn off key.

I think this issue is the wiper motoron these cars. It's not sealed up good enough to protect from the elements.

Wiper control module which is connected to the wiper motor. Someone said you can just buy the cover (where the module is located) seperately from the motor assembly. I bought the motor assembly from rockauto. Problem solved. Easy to change also.
