Default Clogged vent system?

Ok guys, so I bought my car with low mileage.....meaning it sat a lot. At full blast , it feels like a "low" setting on other cars. Also, it takes a significant amount of time to get warm. So, I think the vents have some clogging in them. I replaced the cabin filter, and did not help. Any idea how to troubleshoot this?

Hmmm. Haven't had mine long but I am always on auto. When the car finally warms up my blower will crank up fairly high but nothing like my truck does. Even on high the caddy blower feels a little muted. The air coming out is quite warm once the car reaches full @200 temp. You don't have a 160 thermostat or something do you?

Mini thread jack - Where is the cabin filter on these?

Yeah something definitely isn't right. My car will defrost the windshield & side windows in less than 5 min. Blower is really strong, too. If it sat a lot something may have gotten in there to nest & clogged the heater box.

Nope, no strange smells. I guess I'll just have to start tearing it apart, and hopefully its not too bad to get to

Mine is the same, I've always wondered why. It takes forever to blow warm, and it doesn't blow very hard. It just kind of lackadaisically blows. Very disappointed in that.

I just finished reassembling my dash/cowl. Pulling the cowl off is only good to access the cabin filter.......that's it. The rest is located inside. I removed both drivers side and passenger side lower cover panels, removed the blower motor; located on passenger side/behind glove box, and blower motor relay (heat sink pointed into the vent system for cooling, how clever). My hvac system was completely clean, with no obstructions as far as i can tell.

-I was able to run my hand down into the duct and verify that no clogs were present, starting with the cabin filter, and going to the heater core.

-I felt the blend door actuator moving as I changed the temps

-I felt the vent door actuator moving as I changed vent positions

I have concluded that the cts/cts-v hvac system is just shameful for a luxury car. A stronger blower motor should be implemented.
