Default Battery ground = engine light?

I disconnected my battery ground to get my XM stations back. Then when I restarted my car, my engine light is on? Anyone know why or how I can get it off?

Thank you!

Easiest way is a handheld obd II scanner, if that is not an option disconnect the battery for a couple hours and it may reset. You can get the scanners at autozone etc, it's not a bad investment and you will use it in the future.

Good call. I'll try and borrow my dads. I don't think anything is wrong. It wasn't on before I disconnected the ground, then it was like right after. And I had to leave for a trip and have driven 3 hours with no issues to speak of, expect realizing it's probably time for new brakes.
