Default WTB: Front struts

So, after going through the stockers, and now a brand new set of KYBs, I'm in need of some struts.

I'd prefer the stock ones again, and for cheap.

Let me know what you have.

Thanks

Brand new ones are $115 each on rockauto for a price comparison on any offers.

What was wrong with your KYBs?

I have the same one's RockAuto has...

I think the KYB's were for the regular CTS. The actual body of the shock is substantionaly smaller than the stock ones. Not to mention, I have the H&R springs which put a bit more stress on them, add the V8 to the mix and they went quick. Quick, as in, less than 4k miles

They were also alot more bouncy than the stock ones. The stockers were nice and stiff when going over bumps or turns, but these KYBs are very "floaty".

I went ahead and called my buddy who sells parts at a GM dealership and I got some stock replacements (FE2, FG2, whatever the "lower" grade ones are) at his price of $98 each.
