I've got an acquaintance that has a Golen built LS2 (installed in a '98 Camaro) with the following specs:
He has said he has put only a few thousand miles on it. He has the receipt from when it was purchased (I haven't seen it yet, so I'm not sure on the date. We were supposed to meet up tonight, but he got stuck at work.) He said he paid about $10k. On Golen's website now, for a replacement LS2, it's $12k, straight stock. He lists some mods (above) that aren't straight stock.
If it was installed for an LS1, would there be anything making it incompatible for an LS2 swap into my V (I'm thinking electronics, reluctor (easy change once on the floor?), etc)?
Now with that, what would my old LS2 be worth? Never dyno'd, so I'm not sure what it's doing, but I've been pretty good about regular maintenance. It's got 145k on it, purchased with 73k in 2011, stock thru & thru. CAI/FRC type bolt ons, never cracked open while I've owned it. I do have the warranty history of the vehicle until about 2010 provided by the dealer. Nothing on there regarding the motor (but like 3 stereo swaps!). I don't necessarily baby it, but I can almost count on 4 hands the times I've hit 6k RPM. I've never had it overheat on me & just had the water pump replaced because it was leaking & could smell the burning coolant.
What is my LS2 worth?

The motor hasn't run in awhile, but not because of mechanical issues internally, it was breaking parts on the rest of the car (rear diff, etc) & has been sitting for probably close to 2 years.Block: GM LS2 Aluminum Block
