Default Map plug msd 6012

Figuring out the msd wiring and the plug doesn't fit the stock connector. Can the plugs be taken apart to put the stock one on the msd? If so are the wires in the same order?

Yes, you can remove the pins with a metri-pak tool and put the correct shell on your harness. The wire colors should match up, but check MSD's instruction sheet to be sure.

Ok I remembered how I can take the plugs apart, but I don't need to now. I was thinking the map was the sensor in the back of the valley cover

Good thing they key those connectors for specific sensors! Makes it hard to hook up incorrectly.

Dont you have to replace the lifters and valley cover when not using the DOD?

Not trying to rain on your parade, but if you have changed the oil pan on the engine to a different type (f-body?), you might want to go to the search box and type in DOD delete and do some reading. Member on here, screen name ..*Geezer's Garage* also has some interesting threads on the subject.

I've researched it. I'm using the stock pan, I just modified it. I see a bunch of people tuning it out and they're driving around fine with it. Msd doesn't support it so it's "tuned out". If I blow it up I just get a non DOD motor from the junkyard for about the same cost as deleting it
