Default Coil question???

I'm putting together a lq4 but I don't have the mo ey for the msd coils. I have a set of stock truck coils and a set of ls6 coils. Which ones would be better to use or are they the same?

From what I've been reading here the general consensus seams to be the truck coils as the msd's people are saying are a big waste of money.

The round truck coils with the aluminum fins on top are supposed to be the best, then the truck triangles. i dont know about the LS2 coils, but those are what are on my 86 TA and my 94 GMC, my 89 RS has the round truck coild with the aluminum piece on top:

I have seen comparison on youtube. Like said above the truck coils have the stongest spark and the LS2 coils are about as good. They are both quite a bit stronger than the LS1 coils. so use whatever one has the connectors you need.

Also like said don't know if the MSD coils are worth the money.

One thing I learned is if your gonna use the Coil Covers from Edelbrock/Pace u cant use the truck coils But I always heard too that the truck ones spark stronger but alot of guys have used the standard LS1 coils for High horsepower (I mean 600rwhp or more) set-ups.

The truck coils are great (especially on a budget)...from what I have been reading. Low resistance plug wires (50 ohms or less per foot) are another wise choice. It doesn't pay to have 2.2 jigowatts of power with 2.1 jigowatts of resistance.
