Carb baseline setting help
Carb baseline setting help Hey guys, hope everybody had a great holiday? Ok so what I have is a 98 LS1 all stock, edelbrock GM A body headers, edelbrock vr jr intake, MSD 6ls, and a 750 cfm carb. Just to refresh people, this is in a 70 Chevelle with a Muncie 4 speed and 4.10:1 rear gear. Now, with that information out of the way, here is my carb specs...I bought the carb used as a QFT P 750, but I'm not quite sure. It has the QFT base plate, metering blocks, and bowls, but it has a Pro Form main body. I think it will be a good carb, but I'm uncertain of the baseline settings. Primary jets ate 73, secondary are 85, 65 power valve, 50 cc pumps with black cams, 31 squirters, and air bleeds are 73/36 on pri and sec. Does any of this sound like a good start point? Or do I need to make some changes? Thanks guys!
