I have a Pat G/EPS cam in my car. I am not of the opinion that there is any particular "magic" in it.
I will share an opinion from my experience. I would not describe them as "carb" cams. If you are running a single plane intake, I would say a "single plane cam". It is my opinion that the length of the runners is the major reason for the different grind. With that being said, I would say go a touch bigger on duration than you might for a long runnner factory style fuel injection intakes on a narrower lobe center with more advance.
In general I think that cams on 108 to 110 LCA on ICL of 108 to 106 might be the ticket for single plane LS motors. That is a generalization of course.
