The ls carb section is still growing. But that other guy is right, not load at idle, you can run higher timing and bring it down on acceleration. You will have to pay close attention to detonation on acceleration and back off the timing where needed. I just run 93 oct always to help out. If engine noise is not too lout you can hear the ping, otherwise you have to pull the plugs to check. This is something I would not skip on though. specially if you don't have forged pistons. (you get a little more insurance)

all that being said, if there is 100 different people to answer this question, you will get a 100 different answers. I have my idle timing around 34 at 700-850 rpm, and then drops to 28 at 900 and climbs to 36 by 3500. I like the higher timing at idle bc the car runs higher rpm with the throttle blades closed more.

On top of that I have noticed that if you add a pcv in the mix, that changes things even more... lol its a never ending quest. but fun journey.

12 pages of timing curves in the sticky section. I understand wanting a specific opinion, but there is a bunch of info on those pages

In this process now.

I would find someone with the closest combo to yours as a start and fine tune from there.
