One of the techs posted in my thread on the MSD tech forum to call him, I called and left a voice mail, so we'll see what happens. If they stand behind it and swap it out for me, I'll gladly post up everywhere that the issue was rectified.

Doesn't sound like they're willing to replace mine. He's going to check with his manager in the morning.

Thumbs down

Well I was basically blown off and the issue has gone unresolved. Currently talking with one of the guy's at DIYautotune about having them develop something to replace this turd with. I'll make a new thread if it materializes, would be a way better product with more options and certainly better customer support.

Yes! Megasquirt is the answer. Not as easy, but would give you more tuneability, and datalogging capabilities

Lots of reading to do, there are a few different MS systems available that can run the ls ignition, at varying prices

If it was still 2005, I'd probably agree with you.

That thing looks badass. Althought I've never really thought very highly of their stuff. But that's EXACTLY what I want in a control box.

The list of features for the PRO is awesome.

Well I built it in 2013. Actually the issue is more with 24x engines. If you have a 58x engine you will likely have few probs.
Still, you should ask who the software development "Team" is and how much experience they have with LS engines.
The Msquirt is actually a great unit for what it is. A collaborative DIY.

just to update, i've recieved my new box from MSD this week. i put it in the car and loaded my tune. i will not be able to fire it up till *maybe* early next week as i am going to be borrowing a transmission from a buddy to finish up some other projects. i will confirm how the new box works. in the event i continue to have reliability issues from this thing, i will be looking for some other solution.
