very basic 6010 question

Default very basic 6010 question
Probably stupid, but I have to ask...

I am currently running the edelbrock box and I'm going to upgrade to the msd unit. Question is, does it come with a wiring harness? All the pics show just the box and the harness, 60101, sold separately. Is that just an extension or do I need both?

The msd box comes with the wiring harness.
