My first build: LM7 block bored to 3.905, slightly decked with flat tops. For budget reasons im carbing it. Im looking for advice on finishing the top end. I plan on using LS7 lifters with a ported LS6 oil pump. I'd like to use stock 243's and a 228R cam, performer rpm intake and a 750 holley. Would this setup yield decent results? And I'd like to drive it as much as possible. Just looking for a fun street car with decent power. Any imput would be greatly appreciated.

If you are talking about the 228 grind that is for EFI, you can make a 450 HP combo but a custom grind or off shelf grind for a carb will make the combination work much better. Martin at tick or Geoff at EPS can set you up with a cam dialed in for your combo and needs. But it will surely run very well.

Should run good...but agree with a 110LSA cam.

That combo will work great. The only thing I would want to know if the intake centerline of that cam. You may want to advance it a few degrees. What are you doing for a transmission? And, what is it in?
