Default Split Carbs on an LS/LQ?

http://dambest.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2013/06/LS1-Splits.jpg
I want to maybe put split carbs on an LQ4 eventually, but I can't find much info of people doing splits on Gen III's or Gen IV's
I came across that picture^ on google but that's about it. Apart from something custom, does anyone make any manifold for splits for a Gen III?

that motor in the picture is impressive.

I haven't seen anything like that posted here. Gotta be pretty rare. I'm not sure what the advantage is.

In theory splitting the throttles apart from each other gives the fuel mixture a straighter shot down the intake ports and reduces turbulence from adjacent cylinders. Obviously the gains are seen more on the top end of things but I would think they would also help with response. The carbs in the picture I first posted the link to cost an insane amount though...
$5450.00 for a set 0.o
Even for their "more affordable" carbs the minimum price is still $3000 and the HP range starts at 850hp hahaha

Too bad Barry Grant folded before his inline 4-bbl came to fruition...
