spark plug gap

quick question I am running a 4.8 with a gm hot cam 219/228 .525 lsa 112 and a 625 cfm carb now I gapped my plugs at .60 they are ngk tr55 is that ok.

Why .060 ?
Does seem a bit large..... .035/.040 should be stock

BUT, what's the rest of the combo ? (comp, trans, weight, planed use, ETC)
