Default Update

With the trans issues I've had the mustang has been sitting. Over time I have got ahold of a used 4L80 that I will install a HD2 shift kit in to. I'll also be pulling the engine and gapping the rings. Going to a set of stock LS1 heads to bump compression and they may or may not be ported.... Also, the 150 shot of nitrous is tapped out. Picking up a NX system good for 300 extra pissed off ponies. Now, if I can, I will restall the hardly used circle d converter because it was questionable of it would bow through with a 200, and now I know I'll be going beyond that.

So, I'm pretty damn sure I'll have a 5 second car when it's all said and done. Not sure where the money will be coming from at this point, but it will happen in time. Have most parts, will need some machine work for the heads(valve job), some gaskets and a bunch of the odds and ends that nickel and dime you to death. Pretty sure I'll keep the 3.73s for now. Does great with them on the street.

Also will be getting with some mustang buddies to see what all I need to do to mini tub the car. Some 325/50/15s looks fantastic under the back of these or any car.

Scored a ASA cam for the 5.3 liter I can toss in for now while I get my 6.0 worked over.

How fast can a 5.3 be on some nitrous huh? Lol

I guess the easy DIY tub job is to cut out the inner wheelwell, move it 2" to the inside, and add a 2" strip of metal to the gap.
That's how a buddy did it on his 67 Camaro and yes....325's look great

That's about right for one possibility. Gotta ask a friend what he did to just throw some cheap steel tubs in his car.

Forgot to mention, found a LS1 short block for 500$. May get that and skip the temporary 5.3 and use a all aluminum 5.7.
