looking for a different carb, thoughts?
looking for a different carb, thoughts? I currently have a SBC 350 in my truck that has a 1406 Edelbrock carb that runs poorly. I thought about rebuilding it, but since I'm swapping to a mild H/C/I 6.0 in the spring or earlier, I may just want to buy a carb now and run that until I do the swap. The build with have ported cathedral heads, long tubes, cam with 21X/22X duration, duel plane manifold and connected to a TH350 trans if that matters at all with 3.08 gearing in a 4X4 truck. Any good recommendations for this setup? I'm not trying to squeeze out every HP I can, I'm bias to midrange power and trying to save what MPG I can. I'm obviously not building a carb'd non-overdrive pickup for fuel economy, but I'd like to gain or save what I can. Thanks!
The Street Demon 750 might be a good choice. Good for the street and mileage.
I don't have enough miles on my Demon 625 to really comment, but it has been fine so far. Very easy to drive hot or cold.

Thanks for the replys guys. I actually scored a cheap and functional quadrajunk for my 350 yesterday, and I'll look into the street demon 750 for my build that'll hopefully be soon. I'm excited, I could use more passing power and fun for this tank.
