A better cam for what purpose? "Better" can be very opinionated. I have the stock 190/190 114 cam in my 5.3 and right now I consider it a better choice than most because I have a 3.08 rear and it's my DD.

Ah, I see. Generally, cams for EFI have less overlap in order to create a strong vacuum signal. So the cam that you have now may not be optimal, but I don't know if you NEED a new cam. How does it run now? And what do you use the car for? What trans and rear gears?
