L99 with carb

In France,it's not easy to find an affordable LS3 engine.But I was able to buy a second-hand 2014 L99 engine ,to swap with manual transmission in a 69 Firebird. For our cars inspections,a carb swap is visually better than original injection.
On my L99,the VVT system is deleted on the timng cover.The sensors holes are plugged by plates. The AFM valley pan deleted by an LS3 valley pan.
With the carb i'm going to install a MSD 6014 ignition.

My questions are: With the MSD control,maybe problems with the original cam and lifters? LS3 upgrade cams kit is necessary? Need a "Comp cam phase limiter #5460" ?

Were the AFM valve lifters also changed? If not they should be. They can cause trouble.
You only need a phase limiter if you still have VVT. Hopefully the VVT cam sprocket is also replaced by a normal LS3 sprocket.

Not so much that, it's to avoid problems with the AFM lifters themselves. Plus the LS3 cam will give you a little more power.

Ok. LS3 valve lifters for don't have any troubles,and the LS3 cam is only for the 25hp beetween L99 and LS3.But the LS3 lifters can operate with the L99 cam?

Yes, they will without problems. The only thing with the L99 cam is it has different lift/duration specs on the AFM-control lobes than the others. Not much different, but there is a difference. That will not affect things as far as we're concerned. Just thought you should know.

LS3 stock engine would have been better for a carb and manual transmisson swap......I just found this kit:

There seems to be all the necessary parts.If i can keep my stock cam,This is the good choice for you?

That IS very complete and will do exactly what you want. All GM parts too it looks like. Looks good to me.

I keep my L99 pushrods with a delete AFM / DOD kit?
New lifters in kit,but no pushrods.

DOD delete uses normal pushrods. Use your present ones unless new ones are needed for a different reason.

At least check the tips of the pushrods if its a high mileage unit I have seen them worn a bit
