Default newbie here with 63 impala

so i posted in the new members section earlier not seeing this section. I want to do a LS swap 5.3 into a '63 impala. this will be my 1st time doing it by myself . the car currently has a 4 speed muncie which ill be using. i also want to use a 500 edelbrock cfm carb. what do you guys think. can i do this?

It's plug and play the ignition box has two leads to connect to the coil packs. I watched a video the other day where for about $200 the guy modified the cam sprocket and timing chain cover to run a distributor. Before I went to all of that trouble I'd just buy the timing cover that allows you to run a distributor off the camshaft. JESEL makes a nice setup but they're expensive and it's not something you'd want for a street ride.
