question on old school Camaro
I traded a turbo kit and 1k for a 78 z28 nearly a yr ago. Car only has 75k miles on it. Completely original. 4sp 350.
It came with out air and with out any options.
I've been told several times that this car is a factory hipo camaro.
They only made 233 of. It came with a super T10 trans.
I have the build sheet and everything with it. How can I find out what the Hell I have.lol
I was offered a significant amount of money recently for the car. I'm wondering If I accidently bought a rare *** car.
I bought it for my father, he's helped me out a lot in my life thought it was a good way to repay him. He had one like it when he met my mother. I was just trying to be nice.
But if its what everyone is saying he's not getting it.lol
I've got the Vin with me if anyone can help. Thanks

"For 1978, Chevrolet added a new front and rear bumper and added a hood scoop unlike the 1977 with only a decal. Sales topped all previous models with 272,631, 54,907 of those are the RPO Z28 "Special Performance Package".
i would say your car is not anything special unless you can find proof. post a picture of the trim tag so we can decode it and find out more from that.
So I found the build sheet.
And yea its nothing special.
Well not anything super great.lol it was ordered without any options. That's the only special thing about it. Kinda like a 1LE car.
But I did find somethings out.
They're some 78z out there that slipped out of the factory with an L82. They're were very few of them. They were all stripper cars like mine. But in the buildsheet it showed the L82 option. Something like 233 of them were made. So I didn't come up with anything spectacular but I do have a pretty nice old car, that should bring a lil more money than a regular z28 of the same caliber

If i'm not mistaken that is the equivalent to the WS6 package to the camaro at the time, that just meant a rear sway bar, HD springs, larger front swaybar and close ratio steering. It's not really that rare, but an unmolested 75,000 mile 350 4-speed assuming it's in clean shape will be worth a bit of $$
