Default What direction to go. What setup

Hey guys!

I scored a great deal on a 2001 SS Camaro last week.
88k miles, 6 speed, black, zr1's awesome car

Anyways, looking for direction on this projects

I love lopey cam cars

I had a 2000 z28 with g5x2 cam and loved it. Wanted more power

Had a 2005 cts-v with 232/240 cam and tsp heads. Loved it wanted more power

Now I plan on doing a stroker motor h/c and want around 480-500 on motor. Then probably add a 100-150 shot if I'm not happy.

I want a vehicle that I can drive to the strip and run low 11's, or take down to the shore on a weekend. I want a great street/strip car.

I know the rear/ trans etc and supporting mods would be there too. Just looking for engine direction.

Thanks guys!

From what I have seen, a lot of guys have been running low 11's with heads and cam, full exhaust, suspension, and stickies. Maybe some better gears as well. Not too sure. I have an LQ9 408 stoker in my 97'. But I was going for 10's. LOL!!

you can do 480-500hp at the wheels with a good l92/ls3 head setup on a 6.0l+ block.
