I want to paint my calipers and de-rust them. It's a 4th gen 2000 Camaro v6.
I'm asking for any ideas for on how to do it and what colors I should do. It's a silver car with silver rims. I would also like to powder coat my rims also to a Metallic black.
I did red on my chevelle, no pics sorrys. I just used a caliper paint kit from Autozone. Pretty sure it was duplicolor. A little degreaser and a wire brush to clean them up. Mine were new since I was doing a disc conversion. I think if you are going dark on the wheels, red would stand out and look cool if you want them to stand out.
I used a die grinder on the bulk of the parts and then a small tooth brush size wire brush for the tight spaces. Then cleaned with acetone and painted. I used VHT caliper paint for the red on the bracket and the 2,000 deg header paint on the caliper in flat black. There is a guy that drives a new C7 vett around my town that is silver with yellow brakes that looks good on that color car.
