Default Disconnected Plug

I am a 74 year old gearhead and am challenged when it comes to the electrical side of an engine. Anyone have any ideas as to the purpose of the plug in the attached photograph. Any comments will be appreciated.

Looks to be the maf sensor plug. Are you still running the maf sensor or speed density?
