Default 86 IROC Swap Project

Forgive me if this is the wrong forum for this

looking for help procuring a decent LS7 and looking for someone to help me install. Perhaps point me the right direction. A lot of scammers and I trust this forum has some knowledgeable people left that can help me move the needle before spring. LOL

I would ask the same questions in the conversion section.

I wouldn't bother with an LS7 because: 1) They're weak 2) They're expensive 3) They're hard to come by 4) You can build a 427 out of an LS3 or you can sleeve a 5.3 block if you're dead set on 4.125" bores.

You're in the right place! For an LS7, check out reputable vendors like Texas Speed, Lingenfelter, or even local performance shops. As for installation, maybe try reaching out to members here for recommendations on trusted mechanics or shops in your area. Good luck!

I had RED (Race Engine Development) out of CA sleeve a LS2 block for me. Darton sleeves. 427 cube Manley stroker kit. 24 tooth reluctor crank. L92 heads with up graded springs and push rods. LS3 intake.
Smallish cam. Did 490 rwhp with a 4L60E.
Ran great and easy to tune. Very quick in my 67 Nova project.
