Default Would This Work?

Some guy I know back in the day ordered a Camaro from the factory with a Corvette transmission and rear end. So would a vette and camaro's transmission and rear end bolt up if they were from like the same year?

You're getting BS'd ,dude. The Camaro has always been a solid rear axle and the Corvette has been an independent rear axle from the late 60's . There is NO way any Camaro ever came equipped with a Vette rear. Inversely ,it could be done but only with a LOT of fabrication. The transmission would work as they were both 350 TurboHydraMatics or Muncie 4 speeds.

Actually the Corvette first got the independant rear suspension in `63. While the IRS could probably be adapted, it wouldn' t have been by GM, because as Badjuju said, it would take a LOT of work. GM isn' t known for going the extra mile like that. The trannies should work, atleast until the LS1 vehicles. The C5 has a transaxle, that is connected to the engine via a torque tube, where as the tranny is connect directly to the engine on the F-body.
