B4C questions
Just bought a 97 Z28 B4C,carfax says it was delivered to SouthLake TX,then spent time upstate N.Y. til i bought it last week, 3rd owener 65,695 miles,i contacted SouthLake P.D. and they said it was one of theres[tag on driver door],I've read about the difference between B4C and Z28,the one i own has a 4 point cage welded in.any help or ideas on this Z28,thanks
I've never heard of a B4C having a cage welded in for police service. The other owner could have welded it in. Usually when B4C's are used for police service, they go over 100,000 miles before being sold off. Tax payers wouldn't be happy to know that civil service cars are only being used 50k or 60k before being discarded. This car was either not used for patrol or something happened to it during service to force sale. It would be cool to know what the story is behind it.
