Very cool to see you sharing this awesome hobby with your son! At 11 months old with a Summit catalog in hand, he’s well on his way to becoming a true gearhead

Default E-brake Cables

Been awhile since last post...such is life.

Finally getting back at it. Since it installed Wilwood disc brakes on the 9" rear, the stock e-brake cables wouldn't work, so i ordered the Wilwood Universal e-brake line kit so I can have an e-brake (especially being a manual car).
Cut the cable casings to length, and then cut the cables to length. I'm going to create a new barrel end to work with the stock cable by melting solder into a whole roughly the same size. Test run of this went well, doing it to the actual lines tonight.
Tomorrow the tuner is coming to the house so hope to make some serious progress on idling/drive-ability.

Pic below is just because I thought for 26 year old paint, to see my bike in the reflection before I've even washed/waxed/buffed the paint in 3+ years was pretty cool.

Default It is ALIVE!!!

Tuner came Tuesday and we got it running quite well. Time to data log while driving to optimize tune and then we'll be looking to get it on the dyno after everything is broken in. Idling videos on my YouTube page below.

More to come!

Default Exhaust Tips and Heat Shielding

Found these tips from Pypes. Added heat shielding mat from DEI to gas tank for added protection since it is plastic. Waiting on some cable ends to be able to install the e-brake cables and then it'll be ready to back it out of the garage...could do it now but it's one less time of having to put it on jack stands

Default She's MOVING!!

Got everything done, took off jack stands. Had to adjust the clutch a bit (let it out to allow disengagement in 1st/reverse) then backed it out of the garage under its own power. First time it's driven in 5 years...crazy.

Got her all washed up. Need to bleed the brakes again and adjust the front bumper just a bit (the hood is touching one spot so nothing crazy) and get an alignment for the front.

Next to come will be driving around to get some data logging completed for tuner. Super pumped.

There are videos on my YouTube channel, check it out, subscribe, leave a like or comment.

Thank you! Gonna adjust the front wheel camber, raise the coil overs up a bit and then bleed the brakes one more time and then I'll be ready to drive her in the road and get some data logging in. More videos/adventures to come!

@Will_00SS,

It's awesome to see your project back on the ground and moving under its own power. Five years without the car running or driving is exactly the kind of stretch where a lot of projects end up stalled out or abandoned. Much respect for sticking with it and seeing it through.

That first fire up had to feel pretty dang good. Moments like that make all the late nights and setbacks along the way worth it!

Thank you! and yes it does...pure vindication (and relief it works haha).

Hope to bring it by your Arlington location this year once it's all road worthy.

Thank you for all the support and parts! no one does it better.

Well, had a little trouble bleeding the brakes completely. Don't think it's a vacuum issue. Got a power bleeder to push the air through instead of sucking it out. Hoping to not have to bench bleed master cylinder by doing it this way. Fingers crossed it works and i'll be able to drive it work next week.

Default She's Alive and On the Road

Brakes bled and got her down on all four tires again. Made a little mess with the Motive Power Bleeder but it did the trick getting the last bit of air out of the lines.

Took her for the first trip around the block and made it successfully back home. Still a lot to get used to with such a big cam and manual transmission. Surging is real in first and second lol.

The wife caught some video footage of the car. There would be more but we had some camera difficulties so there's a lot of grass and concrete ...check out the various shorts on my YouTube page. More to come. Next will be a few shakedown data log sessions around town so tuner can make some final adjustments.

Also, anyone else have a build binder like I do? lol was just curious if you guys did or not. All the receipts, stickers, articles, install instructions...what's worse is I started out with a smaller binder and as time and the car progress, I had to get a bigger binder

Ain't no mistaken "That thing's got a cam in it" with this build! It sounds awesome and could easily be used as a wake-up call for the neighborhood

Definitely no question if it's cammed lol.

We were up at your Arlington location this past weekend and it was weird to not need parts for the car this trip. Still comp'd some sweet t-shirts and car cleaning stuff.

Thank you for the support!

Awesome to hear, and we appreciate your patronage!

We're definitely in for updates as you get this car out and about more
