    I'm worried about popping them out that way. Doesn't the connector/plug kinda lock itself into the button assembly?
    Also, did you change the light color of the buttons? Don't they light blue/white?

    Might have to look into painting my a/c knobs to match the steering wheel buttons. I don't like the feel of the camaro a/c knobs.

    I just popped them out with the help of a flathead screwdriver. Looked like they were just friction fit in. I didn't remove the airbag. For the buttons and dials, I just masked off the parts I didn't want painted and used DuPont vinyl paint so it was still soft and flexible.

    Hey man, saw you swapped out camaro buttons.
    Just curious how you went about removing the stock steering wheel buttons?
    I've read you can just pop them out, but risk messing up the wiring.
    I've read you can remove the air bag first, then buttons are easy to get to.
    What'd you do?
    Also, how'd you go about painting your HVAC buttons?
