- 10-20-2017 05:01 PMsorry, I'm having phone problems, I can't make/get any calls
( my phone says "Invalid battery" and then shuts down... I've tried all different batteries... and my service provider has no clue ) - 10-20-2017 05:00 PM6500 sounds a bit high...
you might have to ask around in your local area, ask if they have experience in GM Gen3 stock rebuilds, leave if they don't understand your question. - 10-20-2017 05:02 AMmy number 7572910006
- 10-20-2017 04:58 AMThank you Joe for the reply. Sorry im late. I called CPR and they quoted me something like 6500 which is way high for me. I just want my car running again lol. Im in los angeles near the airport but my car is in storage in the valley until I can tow it to a shop. I have the sinking feeling Im going to have to tear it down myself ...
- 10-09-2017 08:53 PMHi cobrala,
most engine shops do performance builds... you have to ask them for a stock build...
you can try CPR Engines in Gardena, see what he says:
Martin MArinov
115 E Gardena Blvd, Gardena, CA 90248
(310) 427-7486
I also know someone in Santa Ana, but he does *only* high end high performance.
if you're going to install it yourself, you might consider a stock rebuild from Summit or Jegs, they might be cheaper, call/search for LS1 LS6 engine assembly, I see them in their catalogs, ready-assembled with warranty.
What city are you in...?
( unfortunately my email provider blocks gmail )
Regards and Cheers
Joe - 10-09-2017 05:24 PMHello. I saw on another thread that you know of some shops in the socal los angeles area. Do you know if any of these can do just a stock rebuild on a LS1? Thanks! my email is 22airjordan@gmail.com
