Conversation Between LS1NOVA and Buckndol

Hello Eric: I found the answer to the flexplate question. The 4L80 has the 13.5" bolt patten for the converter. I could use the "cone" flexplate if I use the short spacer to locate the pilot of the converter AND hog out the converter holes. (not the best) I used the flat flexplate used on the 4L80 short crankshaft (2000 model) with the other spacer that moved the flexplate out .400". It was a total PITA to move my transmission back and engine forward to change the flexplate but I got it done. Thanks. John
