Default Is the intake manifold symmetric?

New here guys. I purchased a Datsun that already has a LS1 conversion and was looking at how things could be improved. The first thing I'm looking at is getting CAI. Is the intake manifold symmetrical? What I would like to do is try installing it backwards so the TB faces the firewall to take advantage of the high pressure at the base of the windshield. Has anyone ever done this?

Yes, you can reverse the intake manifold. Lots of people have done it in turbo applications when they're running an air/water intercooler in the interior on race applications.

Your oil pressure sender will be in the way, so you'll have to cap that and move it.

also the fuel rail can be swap 180 deg also. I have done this to put the feed line closer to the stock location of my feed line.

You can see that many mid engine race cars (Daytona Prototype) have them swap 180...
