few updates.
made my own dd set up the finished product

finished it up in about two days..
and i picked up a few ls1 ac parts

4th gen evap and 3rd gen heater box .
4th gen front section and 3rd gen rear section of the heater box

at last a lot of tweaking with the low pressure line do to the radiator i am using.
a lot of wiring, sodering , added a relay and the ac refrigerant switch

i wanted to make sure the compressor and all the 4th gen ducting was working so i went ahead and added some freon and oil to experiment with.

its fully functional blows cold air but not as cold as it should be.
now i have to take it to a ac expert to check the system either release the freon use the vaccum fill it up with better freon. i might end up replacing the drier as well

a lot of time was spent on this. research. but alot of people helped me out

Seeing the head pressures will help figure out whats going on. Are you running the fan when the a/c is on? You should be if you arent.

i have one fan with a switch and the one driven by the computer.
so once my temp reaches 185 it turns on. and once my heater or ac is on it also turns on.

such a quality build, major props to you man. I also like that you used the 4th gen dash instead of just sticking with the original dash.

Awesome looking car!!!! how hard was it to get the ac to work? I am currently doing a Ls1 swap in my 86 and I have both the 3rd and 4th gen ac stuff, but would greatly appreciate any light that you could shed on this subject. Thanks and congrats on an georgeous car!

ac imo was the longest process. still working on it but its working. im adding a heater control valve to avoid the hot coolant in the heater core.
its a lot of work . not sure if anyone else has done the ac with the 4th gen dash like me. but ghetto cruiser did it with the stock 3rdgen dash.

Thanks for the reply. I would have thought it would just be plug and play with the ac since i am using all of the 4th gen stuff. If you dont mind can I pm you my number or vice versa so to see if I can better understand the process. Thanks
